Mines in the Sky

I don't trust the muscles
in my body
they've moved in ways
I'm not proud
drifted into cotton clouds
of fractured women
       they decorate the sky
their marshmallow outside
carefully covering a dark black mass
shattered shards
of painted glass
lie like mines
on the fragile ground of a war-torn home.
