The sun shines
and everyone drives
between the lines
slowly approaching a cloudy horizon
a small drop of water
connects and splatters
on the glistened windshield
of a Toyota Corolla
causing the driver to jerk
the man behind him
takes two drops in view
he swerves like the dough of a pretzel
causing a woman in her fifties
to slow down
as she notices three drops
plop
plop
plop
she freaks
slams on the breaks
narrowly avoiding a fender bender
young mother on her right
knows what’s in store
here it comes
four drops of water
she’s doomed
she decides
opens the sunroof
and slams the eject button
installed solely
for this unconquerable kind of situation.

I usually don’t like poems, but this one I liked a lot. Do more 😊
